The Locals Mix is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built by and for creatives. Founded in 2020 during a time when artists were losing stages, connection, and visibility, The Locals Mix was created to make sure local talent didn’t disappear into the background.

We exist to champion original music, art, small businesses, and grassroots voices by creating meaningful opportunities to be seen, heard, and supported. Everything we do is rooted in community, collaboration, and showing up for one another.

At our core, The Locals Mix is about original work. From our originals-only open mics to curated showcases, pop-up events, and partnerships with cultural institutions, we intentionally highlight artists and creators who are building something real and doing it their own way.

Our events go beyond performances. We create experiences that invite people to engage however they choose , whether that’s attending live events, watching interviews, discovering new artists, or supporting other local nonprofits and businesses along the way.

The Locals Mix is not just a series of events, it’s a growing ecosystem. One that believes local culture matters, creativity deserves investment, and community is strongest when we build it together.
